Manager Darren Patterson was very content after last night's draw with Wycombe Wanderers. He told Yellow World:

"It was a good game, both teams played it the right way with plenty of attacking football and I thought it was a very good tempo. We're delighted. Wycombe are a league side who were pushing for promotion last year and I don't think there was a massive difference between the sides."

It was a proper competitive match and Darren thinks this week has been excellent  for laying the foundations of what lies ahead:

"This game and the one against Cheltenham are ones which will prepare us for the tough games in our league and I'm pleased that we are creating chances. We scored another very good goal, could have scored more, had subs who came on and did well, and the new boys are really starting to gel together."

The U's' new boys  are also starting to get used to their surroundings, which bodes well for the future:

"They are all enjoying playing here, which is important. They like the size of the pitch and we have good energy and legs to exploit that space, so that is very positive."
