Behind the Scenes
Darren Patterson Manager
Darren enjoyed a distinguished playing career including successful spells at Palace, Luton and here at Oxford, and was a full Northern Irish International. Sadly an achilles injury ended his career too early but Darren joined the coaching staff in the summer of 2002. He has since helped to groom a number of exciting young players who ensure that the future looks bright for The U's and stepped up from youth team coach to first team coach at the end of the 2006/7 season
Alan Hodgkinson, Goalkeeping coach
Alan is arguably the first ever specialist goalkeeping coach. After a splendid career and over 600 games for Sheffield United Alan recognised the need for specialist coaching for goalkeepers and started to advise clubs and custodians. Over the course of a career this has included work with Manchester United, Glasgow Rangers and Scotland, he is also credited as the man who brought Peter Schmeicel to this country. Alan brings a wealth of experience to the club while maintaining the same enthusiasm he has always maintained.
Neil Sullivan, Bsc (Hons) MCSP, MSST, SRP Physio
Neil is a highly qualified and highly regarded physio who joined the club in the summer of 2001.
