Luke Sharp
The U's have had more good news today with the scan results coming back from Luke Foster's injury.
United's player of the year hobbled away on crutches from the final game of the season at Ebbsfleet and immediate fears were of ligament damage to his knee.
However, the scan results confirm that Luke has suffered bruising rather than any more lasting damage, and that means that he will be back raring to go when the players report for pre-season training.
Physio Neil Sullivan told us:
"We thought when Luke came in on Monday that the injury was less serious than it looked on Saturday, but needed him to have a scan just to be on the safe side. That scan shows no damage to the ligaments so once the bruising goes down Luke should be fine for the summer and ready to train from the first day we report back."
