Quick Start
The speed with which people have been snapping up season tickets for the new season has caught us slightly on the hop.
Forms were sent out last week, and are also available to download, but it seems United fans are buying sooner rather later this year. Ticket Office Supervisor Dawn Wyllie told us:
"We got the forms out earlier than usual and knew that the reduction for existing season ticket holders would be popular, but the reaction has been even better than we thought. We have had hundreds of forms back already, have never had so many downloaded forms returned, and had lots of people coming up to the windows to return their forms in person.
"The usual pattern is for people to wait until closer to the deadline for reduced prices, but there have been more early bookers this year. It may be that they've seen that we are offering the chance to win a season ticket if you buy before 31st May and want to make sure they are in the draw.
"We have sent out receipts to those whose forms have been processed and will send out the actual season ticket books in a couple of weeks time."
There is one other trend among those buying season tickets which Dawn has seen:
"We are selling a lot of new season tickets this year. We thought people would renew, given the discount, but we're selling a very healthy number to frequent bookers maybe looking to buy a season ticket for the first time. We have been busy showing people available seats and the view from different areas, and that has been very encouraging."
