Striker Jamie Guy has had his worst fears confirmed this morning after a scan on his injured hamstring.

The on-loan Colchester man limped off after just six minutes of Monday's friendly against Portsmouth and had a scan at 11.45 this morning which confirmed that he will be out of action for around three weeks.

However, there was better news for the U's with skipper Adam Murray returning to full training today and available for this Friday's season starter at Barrow. Murray was rested against Portsmouth as a precaution but is fit and well and ready to play his part  as The U's look to begin 2008/9 with a win.
