Darren Patterson takes charge in the Blue Square Premier for the first time as United entertain Ebbsfleet United tomorrow

Team News

United are forced into at least one change from the side that beat Northwich in the FA Cup last weekend with Matt Day suspended after picking up five yellow cards. The defender reported back from England C duty with a knee problem which would have ruled him out anyway, but United have a ready made replacement in Eddie Anaclet who will come in on the right side of defence.

Rob Duffy made a surprise return for the reserves in midweek but is unlikely to be risked so soon as he recovers from a broken ulna, meaning that Kieron St Aimie is likely to continue with Yemi Odubade up front, although teenage striker Alex Fisher has impressed as a sub in the last five games.

Paddy Collins, on loan from Darlington continues after a solid debut but former Gravesend winger Joel Ledgister misses out on a chance to face his former team. Joel is still troubled by a frustrating knee injury but is making good progress and gradually stepping up his training.

The Opposition

Ebbsfleet are captained by former United defender Paul McCarthy who will be looking forward to returning to the Kassam Stadium, and former United defender Warren Goodhind is also in the squad. We'd love to tell you more but can't get on their website due to the 20,000 new owners all logging on at the same time!

The Odds:

Typically, we had been betting on Alex Jeannin for the first goal all season, and at 28/1 he managed to score the first last week, the only time we'd forgotten to do it! Oxfordbet has great odds on first goalscorer tomorrow but our French money maker is half the odds. Sacre Bleu!

Programme

Back to a full sized all signing all dancing programme tomorrow, with 68 pages crammed full with news, views, interviews and a slightly depressing 'On the Road' from Rushden.
