Matt is a promising young defender who joined the club on the eve of the 2005/6 season after impressing on trial. Able to play at full back as well as his preferred centre back role, Matt came through the ranks at Portsmouth before moving to Oxford.
He scored some spectacular goals during his first season and proved versatile and reliable.
